Crypto perpetuals generated $58.5 trillion in volume last year—68% of all Bitcoin trading. They built Binance into a dominant force and enabled Hyperliquid to generate $1.2B+ annualized revenue with 12 employees. This product doesn't exist for US equities, and the regulatory infrastructure required to support it doesn't exist either.
I spent 2022-2024 trying to bring options to crypto—advised multiple projects, studied market structure, believed this was the path. That work led to a better insight: regulated perpetuals for US equities is the bigger opportunity. The market is 10-100x larger, and the regulatory window just opened.
I've been in crypto and markets since 14—mining ETH/ZEC, trading options and perps. Since then I've shipped DeFi protocols (Manifest, $1.3M bootstrapped), consumer products (Plug wallet, 100k users in a weekend), AI tokens ($40M mcap, backed by Ryze Labs + AI16Z), and explored infrastructure ranging from CXL memory boxes to eVTOL routes.

Why now? SEC Chairman Atkins and CFTC Acting Chairman Pham announced in September 2025 they're "prepared to consider innovation exemptions...including derivatives such as perpetual contracts." Crypto perpetuals launched on Coinbase's CFTC-regulated exchange in July 2025. The regulatory window for equity perpetuals is open.
